Runway for Hope Ottawa Fashion Show 2019
I recently had the honour of participating in the 11th Runway For Hope Ottawa in support of CHEO | March 30, 2019, and I am so happy and proud to have been a part of this show for the second year in a row.
Runway For Hope is a fashion gala and also an amazing opportunity to raise money to treat ill children in need. The creators of this fantastic event have been partnering with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation (CHEO Foundation) since 2012 and have raised over $30,000 for the charity to date! Runway For Hope is also an excellent way to connect and promote the creative community of southern Ontario.
A large, diverse range of talented local designers participate in the runway show, as well as local musicians who perform for the event. There’s also a marketplace for the event-goers to buy unique, handmade jewelry and many other products from the participating designers. It’s a true win-win situation in every aspect: everyone who attends is supporting local designers, shops, and artists all while helping thousands of young hospital patients.
Our jewelry was displayed alongside the latest fashion collection from the designer Olga Rapoport, and we couldn’t think of a more complementary pairing. Olga designs clothes that are unique, bold, and sustainable – just like our jewelry. We always love participating in events like this, especially when they’re for such an excellent cause. We hope we’ll soon be able to share our designs at another similar event, and we’re definitely hoping to be back at Runway For Hope Ottawa next year!
